Luxury apartment in the formerly German manor farm – that is new around old

The luxury apartment was made in the old, formerly German, three-aisled and two-tier barn. On the ground floor owners decided on the denudation of the ceiling of brick, and upstairs for renovating timber structural beams.

On the ground floor the following rooms have been designed: a living-room, a toilet, a walk-in wardrobe, a home office of the master of the house, fitness and SPA area. On the first floor there are: two bedrooms, a home office of the lady of the house, two walk-in wardrobes and a bathroom.

The apartment was designed in modern style with elements of glamour. The natural materials were used such as: oak solid wood, Polish granite from Strzegom, Italian tiles which resemble travertine, etc. The color scheme is mix of the beige, brown, grey, graphite and accessories are in green, yellow and turquoise.

In the living room are meriting attention: a shelf of the solid wood installed on metal brackets (It was designed by me and my father), three high and pewter heaters, functional furniture in the kitchen made of natural oak burl with a granite countertop (designed by me and made by friendly carpenter), wooden and metal stairs, table made of solid oak wood, (designed by me and made by friendly carpenter), renovated old green carpet, a huge chromed chandelier in the neo-baroque style imported to order from Italy and chairs of the Calligaris company in color mustard. Furniture is also standing in the living room from the interwar period and old graphic art (very important family mementoes). A heart of the living room, instead of the stylish fireplace, is a straight goat with the power of 16 kW.

Upstairs from the bedroom suite are stretching a superb and soothing view on nearby meadows and forests. A big marital bed is a main element of the decor of the room with the comfortable mattress, which is standing relating to the wall coated with the wallpaper of the type damask in colors grey, beige and brown. The headboard of the bed is being upholstered. Remaining furniture: bedside tables, the chest of drawers and the coffee table are made of solid oak. There are also two old-world armchairs upholstered with the same material like headboard of the bed. All additions are in color of vivid green.

In the bathroom Italian milled rock tiles imitating natural grey stone and lava were laid on walls and the floor. Undoubtedly crystal glass lamps, wall lamps and classical sanitary ceramics (from the Duravit company) are an ornament of the bathroom. Between the bathtub and the suspended wc bowl there is a door in aluminium frame, where the owner installed the heater of water. The door was made of the glass laminated with graphics. Into such a neutral bathroom I offered accessories in color to vivid green such as: plastic stool, towels and mats.

The home office of the lady of the house was equipped only with essential appliances: white shelf on wheels varnished on full sheen, old desk in color of rosewood, the modern white chair, the oaken coffee table and the couch covered with the white quilted bedspread. An image is hanging on the wall – reproduction of Tamara Lempicka, ceiling lamp is establishing with one’s shape to the style art deco, similarly to the modern wool carpet with geometric patterns in color of beige and crème.
